Hope for the Holidays

Participate in the Hope for the Holidays program sponsored by Global Refuge (formerly known at Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service).

For more than a decade, Global Refuge has collected holiday cards that share messages of peace and joy with individuals and families seeking safety in the United States. This will be your time to put your creative talents to use to make festive greeting cards with provided materials and add your kind words of welcome to our new American families.

If you would prefer premade boxed cards rather than making cards, they’ll be available to write your words of encouragement. Sample greetings will be offered in English and Spanish for inspiration.

More than ever, our immigrant friends need to feel supported and to hear warm expressions of welcome and hope. Join in the fun and be a part of helping to brighten some moments for our new neighbors during this holiday season.
