A Note from Mrs. Leong

At San Marcos Lutheran Children’s Center, we believe that nurturing a love of reading in the preschool years helps children develop their own sense of self, discover their likes and dislikes, and understand that a world, both real and imaginary, exists beyond their own experience.

Reading with your child builds a strong foundation for future success in school, both academically and emotionally. To help support this growth, we’re pleased to offer our preschool families the opportunity to purchase books through Scholastic Book Club.

Scholastic flyers will be sent home each month from September through May. Ordering is optional, but many families have found it to be a wonderful and affordable way to build their home library. Each order also helps our school earn points toward free books for our classroom library.

Families will have access to a wide selection of quality books that encourage reading skills, expand imagination, and create special moments together. When you place an order of $25 or more, you can even choose a free book using the code provided in the flyer.

Orders are made directly through Scholastic’s secure website and arrive at the preschool in about two weeks. Payments are processed online; please do not send money to school.
